Art & Me

I am an artist originating from Hyderabad, India. I consider the term ‘artist’ as an umbrella term as it contains several roles regarding an extensive variety of art forms. And I, as stated, have been an artist for as long as I could remember. Through my professional career, I’ve taken up roles such as an Art Director, Graphic Designer, Costume Stylist, Café Art and Interior Consultant and more. Simultaneously, I’ve worked on my personal journey as a painter, working on various projects to enhance, explore and gratify my artistic abilities. I’ve also taken it upon myself to share and pass on the knowledge of numerous skills that I have acquired over time by conducting different Art Workshops throughout the year. These workshops help me reflect and understand myself further as an artist.

The Indian Culture that I grew up with greatly influences my artistic taste and style. Growing up, I would observe the paintings of deities and traditional art pieces that adorned the homes of family and friends. These acted as a great inspiration to my first sketch, an Indian miniature painting of Radhekrishna, followed by another painting of deity Lord Ganesha. This prompted me to take up art as a profession. After completion of my course in Visual FX and Graphic Designing in 2012, I worked as a Creative Head/UI Designer with an iOS and Android application firm. Later, I worked with an Ad Agency but quit that job in realization of my passion and have become a full time artist and have taken up several freelance works to establish myself.

My experience of working with several mediums ranges from oil on canvas to acrylics to watercolours. Recently, watercolours have become a specialty of mine as those works are my audience’s most favored. Despite that I still love to explore new and different art techniques and media. Photography and travel are two of my most treasured hobbies that are complementary to my art journey. Most of my works have a correlation with either or both of them.
